Down a total of 16.7lbs as of this morning. Wonderful :)
Dealing with some gassing issues and minor aches and pains, but other than that, I am feeling pretty damn good. I ordered some unflavored protein mix today and hopefully that will make getting protein easier. I simply cannot stand the taste of some of the protein drinks that I have in the house.
I seem to get an aftertaste with anything that I am eating, ever things that I would normally like, such as yogurt. I know that changing tastes can be a side effect of the band, but I didn't think that it would cause an aftertaste. Something else to adjust to I guess.
Point of frustration for the day...Last night as I was choking down some protein shot thing that was supposed to be watermelon flavored, my husband was housing 2 boxes of macaroni and cheese that smelled like heaven on Earth. I wanted it all. At once. With extra cheese. Point of weakness I guess. And the worst part of it all? He won't gain any weight. He will probably lose a pound. Brat.

It's official, I'm a Bandit!
Well, I did it. I got banded yesterday.
And all in all, I'm feeling surprisingly well. I started this journey at 300lbs, day of surgery I was 287, and today I am at 285.3. Not so bad considering that I only started this journey in the end of June.
I think that the worst part about the whole thing is that I really haven't told anyone about this. Except for my husband, my 1 co-worker that I consider close like a sister, and my doctors...that's about it. I know that I am supposed to have a support system, and I do, but there are just some things that I don't like to talk about. I guess this is my way of getting it out.
It is really killing me that I haven't been able to talk to my mom about it, but since she moved to Florida, and she has been going through so much down there, I don't want to worry her with this too. I will tell her some time.
Until then, I am going to head back to my clear liquids and my bed.
